Personal Development with a Purpose

Personal Development with a Purpose

Personal Development with a Purpose
By Paul Check

There's an old saying that goes, "If you don't know where you're going, any path will take you there." The same is true of personal development. Everyone who starts down the path of personal development wants to grow - to evolve into something more than when they began their journey. But figuring out just what path to take when you set out is a major challenge in and of itself.

As a holistic health practitioner, I'm a big fan of getting right to the heart of the matter. So the first thing I do when I meet with a new client who is ready to begin their quest for personal development is to ask them if they have a legacy.

What exactly does that mean?

Most of us have some sense of the meaning of the term "legacy." The common use of this word is backward looking.

Take this question: "What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?" In this case, a legacy is something like the achievements we're known for when we're gone. But this backward looking sense of a legacy is just a small part of what I'm after when I talk to clients about their legacy. After all, we're not planning for their funeral here!

The reason why I use the word "legacy" is that it focuses our attention on the whole picture and purpose of our lives. It's fantastic to have career goals, financial goals or relationship goals, but often times we tend to ignore the other aspects of our lives in favor of pursuing those particular achievements. This imbalance inevitably slows down our growth and frequently results in all sorts of health problems.

True personal development requires a holistic approach, one in which you've set out the ideal picture of your life and developed a goal structure that supports that the achievement of that total life goal. Because a legacy just is your complete life's goal, having one is a crucial step in taking a holistic approach to personal development.

So one fantastic benefit to having a legacy is that it can help you to create and organize goals. It provides you with the ideal towards which all your efforts in life are directed. But having a well thought-out legacy offers so much more. As with any other project, there will always be distractions while you are working on yourself. We have habits to overcome, patterns of procrastination, people who need our time and energy, and so forth. The power of a legacy is that it can provide a very powerful tool to conquer those habits, steer clear of the procrastination, and to meet the needs of those around us with out getting diverted.

In fact, the reason why these diversions can have such a pull on us is because we don't have any particular force guiding us in a direction that we truly want to go. But when your day is built around your legacy, those distractions become impotent. The short term pleasures that procrastinating offers pale in comparison to the potential of your legacy and as long as you stick to your goals, you're always one day closer to realizing that dream.

Of course, the extent to which your legacy will help you to create and organize your goals, and boost your motivation is going to depend upon how much detail you give to the picture of your ideal life. This picture of your legacy often develops over a long period of time, but you can get a decent handle on it by thinking about the following lifestyle components:

1) People - what kind of people do you value, feel comfortable with, get excited about spending time with?

2) Passion - what is it about life that enlivens you and fills you with energy?

3) Purpose - what is it that brings meaning to your life or gives you a sense of fulfillment?

4) Responsibilities - what kinds of responsibilities are you comfortable handling in your life, whether they be personal, professional or spiritual?

5) Career - what manifestation of your abilities, purpose and passion would best fulfill your career needs?

6) Values - your values are your needs and desires, ranging from your most basic physical needs to those that dictate your relationships with your friends, loved ones, co-workers and the environment at large. What are your values?

This list here certainly isn't exhaustive, but it's a good start. Not only will it help you to fill out the picture of your career, but the relationships you develop with your self and your loved ones. At the C.H.E.K Institute and in my PPS Success Mastery Program we get into much greater detail as we help our clients find and create their legacies on a daily basis.

Because this picture you're developing is your life's goal, I recommend, just as with any goal, that you write it down. Or, if you are artistically driven, you can draw it, paint it, sculpt it, or make it physical in whatever way works best for you. However you do it, don't allow your legacy to remain just an idea! Your legacy will be much more motivating when you can look it in the face each and every day.

Knowing that you have a purpose and that you are living your purpose every day is a wonderful thing. It makes me spring out of bed each morning, energized and excited! How many people do you know that look forward to their day, every day, in that way? So take the time to map out your legacy today. You'll be giving yourself a path to personal development with a purpose and that's a path to success!

Transcending Fear To Achieve Success

Transcending Fear To Achieve Success

Transcending Fear To Achieve Success
By Debbie Campbell

Transcending fear does not mean to abolish fear. To transcend fear, you must identify the fear and understand it and then it won't have so much power over you. You move through the fear. You accept and expect fear but do not let it be an excuse to avoid the necessary follow through and persistence in achieving your goals and dreams.

We all have fears including fear of the unknown, fear of success, fear of humiliation, rejection, and inadequacy. These fears are addressed in my book "DARE TO SUCCEED: How to Transcend Your Fears and Achieve Your Goals". The book helps the reader to identify the fears that pertain to them through mini-assessments and obtain insight into how these fears impede success. Additionally, exercises and strategies are presented in the workbook section to practice surmounting fears.

Preparation, planning, and success experiences will all help you through the experience of fear. If you are clear say about a presentation you will be making at work, you can at least have confidence that you have prepared and know your material. Practice and visualization will aid preparation. Strategic planning as to how you will accomplish your goals will help you to feel more empowered, less adrift, and frightened.

Success breeds success. To transcend fears and assist yourself with self-confidence, remind yourself of your successes, your talents, and your skills. Stay in the present, keep focused and concentrated, and avoid the "what if's. Actors know that if they are prepared, this will ensure a better performance. A successful actor also knows though that he must keep his anxiety (and fear) in check enough so that a bit of "anticipatory anxiety" will keep him focused whereas too much anxiety and fear will negatively impact performance. Build more and more success experiences for yourself. Make it happen! You'll be glad you did!

Attitude Can Make A Difference

Attitude Can Make A Difference

Attitude Can Make A Difference
By Michael Cortes

If you don't already know, I am a fan of Survivor. So, when I was watching the first episode of the "Fans vs Favorites" season (2008) with my daughter, I laughed out loud at the difference in attitudes. "What do I mean?", you ask.

I laughed when the two tribes met for the first time. This is when they meet and attempt to whip each other at some physical contest. One tribe is made up of previous Survivor players, who were either favorites or favorite people to hate. The other tribe is made up of first-time players who are big fans. After they spent a night in the wild, (without fire, food, or fun) they came together for the first competition and I laughed while my daughter looked on, confused.

"Why are you laughing, Dad?", she said.

"Because you can look at those two tribes and see the advantage the favorites have because of their attitude."

"What do you mean?"

"When I was in the Marine Corps, one of the most feared experiences was the Gas Chamber," I replied.

Why? Can you imagine waking into a room full of swirling, fog that is composed of who-knows-what kind of chemicals; burning your eyes, throat, and nose? It also makes all the mucous in your body, exit you body through your nose. This also is not a fun experience.

I first joined in this fun event in bootcamp. Then again several times throughout my career. The first time it was miserable and scary. The second time, I remembered it was scary and I and my peers feared it because of that memory. But after several years went by and I had experienced the gas many times, and had achieved the rank of Sergeant... I was now in charge of other Marines and was always conscious of setting an example. (Yes, a good example) I now knew what to expect and knew I would be fine once it ended. So I and the other Sergeant had an advantage. We walked in and posed. Yes... posed. A classic hands on hips, drill-instructor, leader-of-men, recruiting-poster pose. It said, "I am Marine and fear nothing!" Please insert your own grunting soundtrack here.

Lucky for us, the new Marines could not read our mind. They didn't know that it also burned our eyes, throat, and nose. That we were in just as much pain as they. But because our attitude (mucous on our shirts not withstanding) was "We will be fine! We can have some fun with them while we are here!" we weren't as miserable.

Thursday, if you had looked at those "favorites" next to the "fans", you would have seen the same difference in attitude. The fans were sullen, serious, and somewhat miserable. (Like the first day in the gas chamber) The favorites were smiling, having fun with the fans, and definitely not miserable. It was day and night. Their attitude was allowing them to handle the situation better. To be less uptight and more ready to deal with what lay ahead. It also affected how the fans perceived them. Perhaps, the fans looked at them with a "They are the Survivors and they fear nothing!" attitude that caused a bit of intimidation. In Survivor, you can see why that can be an advantage.

I hope it made sense to her. I hope you remember how attitude can affect your situation. So when she is facing a tough situation... or even everyday stress, maybe she can find a way to change her attitude towards the situation. Try to find a way to make it just bit less miserable.

Do you have any tips on facing tough situations? How do you use attitude to face the world?

The So-Called Secret to Success

AchievementRadio.com's

The So-Called Secret to Success

The So-Called Secret to Success
By Dion Morrison

Where do we begin?

That is a simple question. We begin at the begining, right? We start with that which is the primary thing, the essential or necessary. This is the basic idea that we must settle up front.

That basic idea is the term: PRINCIPLE

Let us define this term. A Principle is defined as the underlying truth upon which 'all other truths rest upon.' This is why it is essential and of the utmost importance!

I do not offer any scientific evidence or proof of this statement. And it is not my purpose here to get into any lengthy discussion about whether this is the proper starting point. Time and space will not allow that. I am simply offering it to the reader so he may determine for himself, the truth of the matter. But, in an effort to explain my belief let us make a comparison. Is it not reasonable to assume, that if there are physical laws that govern the physical world, that there must also be laws that gover the mental and spiritual realm?

This is important to understand. If you do not understand this concept, go back and look at the definition of Principle. (Note: If you ever have trouble while studying, always have access to a dictionary, for it is important to be clear about the words we are using and especially their meanings). Let us move on.....

Why is this idea so important?

Because, it takes success out of the realm of LUCK, CHANCE AND SUPERSTITION! It helps us to see that there is an intelligent design back of all that exists in our universe. We may call this the Law or the Principles that govern.

Now, let's take another step in this discussion. If everything is governed by law/principles, then personal achievment must also be governed by law.

Again, I must repeat, that this is another one of those ideas that is 'self evident'. If you cannot see this please go back to the definition above and think about it. If after that you are still not convinced, just try to accept it as a theory and test it in reality.

What if you knew someone who was already successful and living the lifestyle that you want? If he offered to coach you into your own success for free, would you accept his offer? If he says, " hey, I know that these ideas lead to success and I want to help you learn to use them," would you listen? If you answered yes, please do not discount the power of the concept I will now share with you. The concept is the one of a "ROLE MODEL". If you can model his beliefs, thinking and his actions, would you not produce the same results?

Where do you find these role models?

You find them at your local bookstore or library. They have been leaving the clues behind for struggling humanity for literally THOUSANDS OF YEARS! Go find these great men in these books and learn from them. They have found the principles and they are offering you the teaching, without all the time necessary to learn them on your own. You say you want prosperity, start by studying that subject. Become an expert on that subject. This is the big secret of success I was referring to earlier. Its not really a secret, but it seems that way because so many are struggling in life and finances. Once again, I encourage you to seek the knowledge and you will find it. And while you are seeking knowledge wisdom and understanding, make sure you get the understanding that a PRINCIPLE can provide.

Basic, But Essential Success Strategies

AchievementRadio.com's

Basic, But Essential Success Strategies

Basic, But Essential Success Strategies
By Donald Yates

Success can't be bought

First off, success comes at a great price. That's right, there are no free handouts. fundamental success strategy concepts follow a distinct yet proven course of action. A price must be paid in the action it takes for completion. What! Hold it right there, you mean I gotta do something? There are many people who believe you can simply buy success. That's right, just put it up on the auction block and it goes to the highest bidder. Even though you must pay a price for success, it cannot be purchased.

If you have to pay a price for success but you can't buy it, what then, is success? This is a question you must answer clearly in your mind before you attempt to pursue it. Success has different meanings for different people. For some it is wealth, power and recognition while for others it is simply having enough to eat each day.

Is the price to much?

There are no clear cut explanations for success. We believe Success is simply "achieving worthwhile personal goals," while that doesn't sound difficult in itself; very few people are able to accomplish it. Most people live day do day in quiet desperation, never experiencing their true potential. They don't have a life's plan or any goals other than getting from one day to the next. Husband's and wives argue about finances and fear the likelihood of loosing their jobs. Our whole society lives in fear of what tomorrow will bring. But they don't have to, they can free themselves.

Is it freedom we seek?

Doesn't the idea of freedom have a sweet ring to it? Many would argue that no one is truly free and success is simply chasing a dream. I say, "what is man that he can't dream." Dreams are what happiness is built on. If a man can't dream then he has no hope, for hope is indeed in seeking a dream. Don't be a day dreamer, be a dreamer of action.

Perhaps it is only a Dream

There are many who may find Essential Success Strategies demands too much for them and perhaps they are right. If you believe you are beaten before you begin the fight then, it's not a fight, it's an approved defeat. To be defeated before the battle begins, is conceding to the enemy and allowing their domination. Many people don't realize success comes as a result of planning and is not a result in itself. Success cannot follow itself as it must be a defined path which leads toward a projected result. It demands full involvement or immersion as an approach to obtainment. Once the decision to obtain a defined result is made, the individual must make it his/her committed challenge. Like jumping from an airplane, once you leave the door, you can't go back. You must, at all cost, do what is necessary to survive or plummet to the ground.

It takes planning

For example; If you decided to become a doctor, it would take a minimum eight years of higher learning and a cost of hundreds of thousands yet a degree does not make you successful. It takes thousands to set up a practice. The fact is, more than 80 percent of medical students borrow money to cover education expenses. Cost run at least $175,000 to $200,000 after adding up tuition, room and board, books and equipment and all the rest. It would be slightly less if you go to a state medical school as an in-state resident. After countless hours of classes, bookwork, lectures, internship and test you may qualify to be called a Doctor. Even then success rest squarely upon the shoulders of the person involved. No one can do it for him/her. Why? Because it is personal.

Top people in sports sign contracts for millions, at what cost? It takes hundreds of hours training and learning the game before a player becomes professional. It's the same in any industry. Airline pilot, Ships captain, architect, CEO of a fortune 500 company as well as many others, take years of study and thousands of dollars, to rise to the position. There are no free rides; everything comes with a price or doesn't come at all.

It takes hard work

But wait! What if you could make the same or more money than a doctor or any other professional with much less cost and time? What if you could be making the same as any MIT. Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Stanford Universities graduate? What would you do for the opportunity to be a top wage earner? How much time and dollars would you be willing to spend?

A few years ago the wife and I hosted exchange students. I was intrigued by the fact that much of their learning came from their total immersion into our society. They had to speak our language and adhere to our customs. Their experience was the experience itself. Their perception was changed from their native point of view into ours.

It takes focus

Learning is a progressive process. A person must learn one thing before he/she can learn another. Like building a stone wall, each stone must fit exactly in place in order to support the next stone. A stone is only a stone but by placing many stones together, they become a wall. A wall then is designed to restrict or prevent movement across a boundary. It becomes a barrier for unwanted people and animals and provides safety for those behind it.

It takes mind control

The mind is much the same. It uses experiences in place of stones. It piles each experience on top of the other until an impregnable wall is built. Unknown to the person, a wall is built so strong, so high, so thick that it can't be torn down. You may chip at it or attempt to dig under it, but you simply can't get to the other side. Look around at the preconceptions, the mind sets, the prejudice that stem from preset thinking. What we believe is an accumulation of our and others experiences. What is fed into the mind is either accepted into our belief system or rejected as untruth. Many times, false becomes truth in the mind and truths are questioned as false.

Dream, find your interest, develop a plan, set goals and work, work, work. Never give up, it's your life at stake. Next time we'll go into planning, setting goals and expatiations.

Happy Trails

The Second Brain, Key to Manifestation

AchievementRadio.com's

The Second Brain, Key to Manifestation

The Second Brain, Key to Manifestation
By Duncan Sequeira

We' ve all done it. At the start of a new year we make resolutions. We are sure we definitely want to change, but when the time comes for us to put our resolutions into practice, we fail dramatically. Or, a friend tells you that he is determined to change an aspect in his life, he states it, but you observe him and know that he won't do it. How do you know?

Because you sensed that he was speaking intellectually not from his heart. The intellect is great at postulating, passing judgement or idle chatter, however it is only when the heart is involved that we are able to change things in our life.

Eastern traditions and some of the more esoteric Western traditions, recognise that the true heart is in the region of the solar plexus and abdomen. Orientals have a special name for this centre in the region around the kidneys, abdomen and a few inches below the navel. The centre just below the navel is called the Hara centre or Dan Tien. From the Eastern viewpoint, most of us in the West have our centre of gravity in our head, our intellect rather than the heart.

If you look at someone even from the physical point of view you can often see where their centre of balance is, sometimes you notice that their centre of balance is in their shoulders or their head. This is not the best place. Having our centre of balance anywhere apart from the solar plexus and dan tien is not advisable. It does nothing for our stability on the physical or emotional level.

Every neurotransmitter found in the brain can be found in the intestinal tract. The solar plexus is a network of nerve fibres of the sympathetic nervous system. It is composed of grey and white nerve substance or brain matter. Serotonin the neurotransmitter that has been found to be lacking in many people who suffer from depression, is largely found in the intestinal tract.(90%)

The Chinese, and their health exercises of Tai Chi and Chi Gung, pay a lot of attention to this centre. It is the centre of equilibrium, health and intuition. More significantly, when we want to change aspects in our life, bad habits, negative emotions or when we want to develop new skills, say ice skating or tennis, it is vital to create communication with this centre.

Paula, a friend of mine told me that the first time she was involved in a car crash, her heart rate accelerated frighteningly, her energy was unsettled and she was in a state of shock. This experience prompted her to attend classes in chi gung. She learnt how to maintain her centre of balance below. Incredibly, she was again involved in another near miss in her car, a year later, however this time, all her work on her lower centres payed off. She was able to keep calm and lucid. Her heart didn't beat unnaturally, her breathing was calm and she was aware of everything going on around her.

Our metabolism, digestion, growth, and healing all takes place in the network of plexus's below the waist. It all takes place subconsciously. This 'second brain' is the place change is created.

All change needs to take place on the subconscious level before it manifests on the physical. Learning anything new from riding a bicycle to playing tennis depends on our subconscious reflexes. How effective we are in communicating our new skill to our cellular structure.

And the best way to reach all the cells in our body, is through our solar plexus. Once we learn a skill, it becomes a habit that we can carry out without consciously thinking about it. Remember how you had to concentrate when you first learned how to drive a car?

A step in the right direction is to become more and more aware of where our centre of balance is located. Then the next step is to carry out all our movements and activities from our centre below. A class in chi gung or tai chi or gym work on our core centre, will all benefit our ability to manifest change in our lives.

Duncan Sequeira lives in London. He is passionate about health and wellbeing. He practices and teaches Chi Gung and he helps people build a global health business from home. Find out more by going to http://www.pukkahealth.com

Why Is Personal Development Important?

AchievementRadio.com's

Why Is Personal Development Important?

Why Is Personal Development Important?
By Shane Hunte

In order to find the answer to the question; why is personal development important, you must first find out what it means to you. Personal development is a way of life; you can't know everything so if you embark on learning new things to broaden your horizons then this is personal development.

The best way in my opinion, to develop you, would be to learn the laws of success and prosperity. I am usually in heavy debate about the educational system and how it fits into to society. It creates people who believe that the only way to make it in life would be to follow a path that was predetermined by those who were or never will be truly wealthy in life.

Let's take a closer look at this. We go to school and we're told that we have to learn in order to get a good 9-5 job. We then go to work and realize that all of our time is spent between working, sleeping and coping with the stress of never feeling successful. My friends if this is the way the scholars have determined success to be then we have all failed at life.

How can we go to work and get paid while the government makes more money out of our income than we do, I find this simply comical and this is what we're forced to accept.

Do you think you need to ask; why is personal development important, because clearly we need to develop a new way of thinking. We don't need to become more educated to have a fulfilling life.

I know by saying that I may stir up some trouble but I don't care because it true. The most successful people who have ever lived and have achieved success higher than Mount Everest were not educated, most of which were high school drop outs.

I'm not bashing education but I'm bashing the educational system. I'm surely not saying that you should not get educated but I'm saying that the educational system doesn't hold the secret to success but you can become a successful tax payer. The more you earn for the time spent working the more taxes you must pay the government.

You need to develop the success traits of the wealthy and 99% of them will tell you it has to do with developing the power from within you and not cramming more words into your brain from text books.

If you learn how to control this power then you will surely find a way to be truly successful. Now sit down and ask yourself the question; why is personal development important to you?

Do you think you have an answer now? Do you think that you need to find ways to build multiple income streams to reach financial freedom; I'll tell you a secret, if you want to become really successful find ways to give true value to others. Find a way to help people enrich their lives and you will reach financial freedom at an astonishing rate.

Want to know how true this is? Look around you right now. Look at all the marvelous inventions around you today like the television, radio, light bulb, computer, cellular phones and I can go on forever.

These things ad value to your lives and if you get in touch with your inner genius through personal development, then you will realize how you to can add value to other peoples lives too.

I hope you can now answer the question; why is personal development important. Realize that if you don't seriously embark on developing yourself then you will be hindered by the way society have developed a strategy to keep you under it clutches as an employee and not an employer of success.

Meditate on what I've just said. The persons who may own the businesses for which you work are employers of success strategies. They're successful because they have embarked on learning the laws of success and millionaire mindset.

You are the employee of this success because their businesses run on autopilot through your efforts not theirs. While you're making your way to work they're making their way to the gym. Are you getting the bigger picture now?

It's time you become the employer of success and not the employee. That time is now. Never again should you ask the question; why is personal development important. It holds the answer to changing you entire life. Learn to develop the millionaire mindset today.

After I wrote this article I did some research to find a product or information that can help you unlock the power from within so you can live a more fulfilling life. I did find a very inexpensive but valuable product from an author by the name of Tony Mase.

Now let me tell you, his course is for a minor $49.00 but for a very limited time only.

Access to this powerful information for such a cheap price is totally outrageous. Get in on this course now and learn how you can become an employer of success.

How to Use the Subconscious Mind

How to Use the Subconscious Mind

How to Use the Subconscious Mind
By Ralston Heath

In the early part of the last century, certain people first began to realize that the mind was duality in its operation. The part we always are accustomed to using was named the conscious mind and the other part mistakenly thought to be the lesser part of consciousness was named the subconscious mind.

It was felt that the conscious mind, with its ability to think and reason, would naturally be the master part of the mind and that the other one would be subservient to it. This is extremely inaccurate and is far from being the truth. As you are about to learn, the subconscious mind is the real intelligence and power. No one has ever had as much intelligence, consciously, as all of us have subconsciously.

The prefix "sub" means under, below, beneath, lower. Since the subconscious mind is the seat of our intelligence and power, why do we call it the subconscious mind? Originally it was thought to be the lesser part of our mind and so it was labeled with the sub prefix. What was not realized is that the subconscious mind can access and use all the knowledge of the universe.

Our thoughts and actions are continually being guided by our subconscious mind, whether or not we are led to success and happiness, or failure and despair. It is the subconscious mind that controls and directs our actions as a direct result of the commands our conscious mind gives. It is our conscious mind that discerns levels of difference; good from bad, poor from rich, sick from healthy, and so on. Our subconscious does not make these distinctions; it only follows our conscious guidance and brings into our reality what we have commanded.

We command our subconscious by the thoughts, and words we use. If we are always speaking of prosperity then we develop a success consciousness, the subconscious mind will direct us in thought and action to success and happiness. Conversely if we are always speaking of how hard we have it and our lack of money and resources, then the same measure is applied and our subconscious will cause us to have a hard life, with a lack of money. Do you see what is happening here?

The following is a very simple description of the subconscious Mind and its relationship to the conscious mind. We will use a large corporation as an illustration. A big corporation, as you know, has a CEO and a general manager. Of course it has all those others too like vice presidents, secretaries, treasurers, etc. However for the sake of simplicity, we will use only the CEO and the general manager. Let us assume that this corporation in this illustration is an automobile plant. The CEO does the planning; the general manager executes the plans. When a new model is being contemplated, the president will make the decision as to all the changes to be made. These changes will be given to the general manager. It is the manager that tells the designers and draftsmen and tool makers etc. as to what to do, soon after the models are made; the plant is tooled up to create the new designs and on and on it goes until finally a new car rolls off the line bearing all of the changes originally planned by the CEO.

The conscious mind is the CEO; the subconscious mind is the general manager. The conscious mind does the thinking, planning, evaluating. The subconscious mind carries out the orders. You, as you sit right now are the CEO of your self. Your subconscious is also part of you but works far differently than the CEO part of you. The subconscious part of you will cause to come into reality anything you command it to.

Let us use an example that more closely applies to you. There is an individual that was just getting by. This person just barely managed to keep food on the table and to pay the rent; but there never was any money left over for nice clothes, vacation, etc. This person was always talking about how hard life was and that the working person could never catch a break.

Then one day; suddenly a powerful thought entered into their mind. That person began to see that there is a better life and it could be theirs for the asking. That person saw their self as a success. That person began to think in terms of "I AM a Success," and began to talk about the good things in life.

So what do you think happens after that simple thought change? That's right their general manager; the subconscious mind, accepts the thought "I AM a Success" as a command. It is a new model ordered by the CEO; the conscious mind. Now then, just as the general manager of the factory will give out orders to the many department heads, your subconscious mind will begin sending out messages to the various assistants throughout your being. Your general manager knows that to be a success you must look like one. It will make you more alert; it will put a spring in your step; it will put a look of determination in your eye; it will put an expression in your voice which rings of success. Most important of all, your general manager will direct your thinking and actions so that you will be guided to do the things which will make you a success.

Isn't it hard to believe that you have been going through life the hard way; wishing for things without realizing that through the correct use of your subconscious mind you do not have to wish! You now know that you have it within your power to make your dreams come true, by simply commanding your subconscious mind correctly you can have, and be, all that you desire.

Be Blessed

Has Your Master Mind Group Ever Hit A Dry Spell?

Has Your Master Mind Group Ever Hit A Dry Spell?

Has Your Master Mind Group Ever Hit A Dry Spell?
By Melody Campbell

There are a number of reasons why this might have happened but the most common being that the group or certain individuals have lost their "focus" in some aspect of their lives. Even if just one member loses focus - and maybe not even master mind related, such as a personal event - this lack of focus can change the energy of the group.

To keep your group fresh and fully energized I recommend scheduled "mental conditioning events."

My mentor Bob Proctor recommends this very thing to the Master Mind Groups that I lead as a LifeSuccess Consultant. Following is an example of the kind of mental conditioning that I might bring or recommend to a master mind group.

----------------------------------------------------------

Would you be interested in understanding how a person can move themselves from simply setting goals with random achievement, to ACHIEVING goals with predictable success?

It is in understanding that our mind is a "Human Goal Achieving Mechanism" that works with the precision of a well programmed computer, that will deliver to us consistently produced results in goal setting.

Let me illustrate this for you using a graphic for our mind that was developed by Dr. Thurman Fleet, a chiropractor in San Antonio, Texas in the 1930's. This simple graphic will give you a visual aid to help you understand how your mind works.

As this illustration shows we have a mind and a body. Our mind is divided into two parts - our conscious mind and our subconscious mind.

Our conscious mind is our thinking mind. It's where our thoughts originate. This portion of our mind chooses to accept or reject any new thought or idea presented to it. It is the portion of our mind where we reason. It's where our awareness lies.

Our subconscious mind is our emotional or feeling mind. It's a warehouse of our memories, habits and conditioning. It is where our belief systems lie. Dr. Maxwell Maltz in his book, Psycho-Cybernetics, states that this part of our being is our self-image, that causes us to feel, interpret, and perceive the world through our own ego.

In our conscious mind, our intellectual mind we can choose our thoughts - any thought we want. We can choose look at the world around us and pick out the things that are out of place or that make us uncomfortable, or we can be in difficult circumstances and choose to seek out what is good and best about that circumstance.

Ultimately we have responsibility for what we choose to think. And what we choose to think about determines our feelings. Our feelings are expressed as action - and it is our actions that produce our results. So it follows, that if we desire to change our results, we must change the thoughts that we are choosing. It is necessary to become consciously aware of what we are thinking about.

It is important to realize that the results we are getting are in no way a reflection of our potential. The results we are getting in our lives are a reflection of our thinking up to this point in our lives. Our potential is infinite and all we have to do is increase our level of awareness.

We have a mind - conscious and subconscious, and a body. We have five senses that we use to communicate with the world around us - we see, smell, taste, touch and hear. We begin to use these senses immediately when we are born and develop our thinking from the outside in. We have learned to allow our environment to determine our thinking vs. allowing our thinking to determine our environment. I'm here to tell you there is a much better way.

Our problem is that we have been conditioned to think and relate to our world with our senses and we've never been trained or encouraged to develop the higher side of our personality. It is the development of our intellectual faculties that allow us to control the way we think. These intellectual faculties are like "mental muscles," that when properly developed we can control our thinking and get the results we desire in our life.

The very first of our our intellectual faculties is PERCEPTION. Our perception is our ability to look at the world and see circumstances different than from what they may at first appear to be. Wayne Dyer says, "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change..." When we look at obstacles as opportunities to grow we no longer get emotionally involved in that which we think we cannot do and we look for possibilities.

The next intellectual faculties is our WILL. Our WILL is our ability to concentrate or to remain focused to the exclusion of all outside distractions, not allowing our own negative thoughts or comments from unaware people detour us from our intended course.

IMAGINATION is the intellectual faculty that allows us to mentally create big beautiful pictures. Albert Einstein had carved into his desk that imagination is more important that knowledge. Look around you, everything in this world started out as an idea in the mind of an individual. That's how we're able to fly around the world, fly to the moon, light our world, communicate globally without wires in seconds, save lives with miraculous achievements in medicine. Prior to these great ideas and discoveries, the perception was that none of these things were possible, but what these great individuals did was introduce us to their ideas and developing their imagination to overcome obstacles of precedent so they could discover the unknown that was there all the time. Our imagination is our key to seeing what we want, believing we can do it and achieving our dream.

You've probably heard people say they have a bad memory, and they repeat this over and over and when they try to remember things - they can't. The truth is that we have a perfect MEMORY. We have the ability to pull up the memories of past successes, how we felt when we won, achieved or accomplished something. We have the ability to inspire ourselves to action when we face opposition to our Great Big Creative Idea by recalling our best memories to remind us that we can succeed.

One of my most favorite of our intellectual faculties is our INTUITION. Wayne Dyer describes this perfectly when he says, "If prayer is our communication with God, Intuition is when he communicates with us." Unfortunately most of us aren't aware of how to use our intuition to it's fullest advantage. We get an idea and compare it with our current circumstances and make the conclusion that if our new idea and our current circumstances are not in harmony then the idea must be impossible. The truth is that we would never have gotten the idea if we were not capable of bringing it to pass. If you are gifted by God with the idea, don't ask yourself if it's a good idea or a bad idea, rather ask yourself "If I act on this idea, will it move me in the direction of my dream. If yes, then just step out and do it.

The last of our intellectual faculties is our ability to REASON, the God-like ability to think and choose.

Each of us are created in God's image,

We have the responsibility to be grateful - to look at the amazing world around us and give thanks.

As god-like creations we have the ability to forgive and release others to their higher good.

We have the ability to love, be loved and express love.

And, we have the ability to create things with our thoughts.

In this realization of our divine nature, created in the image of God , we can do all things - we can create the life we desire.
